The Commissioning

As laid out in the previous entry, we are working hard and fast to bring the stories we have specially crafted for you to life in full-color action sequences, amazing art and vivid imagery. Working with just one artist for the scale of such a project would have been impossibly long.

So, I’ve had to work with multiple artists, but this is most definitely a strength and not a weakness.

Each artist I work with on this project has their own art style which I hope, brings to you a new lens and perspective of the world that our characters live in. May their diversity united by the direction of one writer, bring you on a journey of horror-suspense at the beginning, and victory-confidence at the end of each episode. For the first season of 7 episodes, we will focus on the introduction to each of the characters and the journey to their ‘Commissioning’. You will understand the world we live in through their eyes. And may their stories of overcoming and victory be your inspiration in your walk and journey of faith. With that, we finally have shared to you all the teaser introduction of every character for this chapte

Dawn Noelle, Sophomore Age: 19

Dawn is the daughter of Reverend Simon. Her father, believing hers was the End Time Generation, named her after the promise of the hope of light that comes after the darkness. Dawn is easy going and has an extroverted personality but she has a somewhat rebellious streak as she organized a group of spirit sword-wielders in defiance of her father.

Guy Takahashi, Freshman Age: 19

Guy is half-Japanese, half American and grew up in Hawaii where his father served with the US Navy. Like most other things in his life, Guy doesn’t take his studies seriously. However, he is fiercely loyal to his friends and he is driven by a sense of justice and fairness due to a history of being bullied during his childhood until he learnt how to fight and survive.

Liete Udinov, Freshman Age: 18

Liete is a sophisticated and proud Russian heiress to a wealthy family. She is popular in school with no lack of male suitors. She initially has a snobbish upper-class attitude and uses her wealth and status to define herself but that façade cracks and falls away when she meets Dawn in a life-changing event, forcing her to reconsider what is truly important in life.

Lance Valen, Junior Age: 20

Lance is a natural leader, double-degree scholar and holds an innate talent with the sword—qualities that make him the captain of the fencing team. His heritage hails from the House of Valen of the Guardians although he does not fully know his family history. He is driven by success and winning but does he really have it all together—or is all it a bluff?

Simon Noelle, Church Reverend Age: 52

Reverend Simon is a pastor of a small church in the town of Dollet Falls. He is also Dawn’s father. His wife, Veronica, passed away at childbirth and he has never been the same since. He was one of the pioneer wielders of the spirit sword, a handy gift to deal with the darkness about to sweep across the town.
